Fostering Info Share your pug love! Our foster homes are so very important to MSLPR. They provide love and care to our rescue pugs during this unsettled time in the pug’s life. All we ask of our foster families is to supply love. MSLPR furnishes everything else: crate, food, bowl, collar, leash, any medication, any transportation to and from the Pug Rescue veterinarian. All pugs are completely vet check, spayed or neutered, and updated on all shots before they are ever assigned to a foster home. It is rare for us to get a pug that is not potty/crate trained unless they are very young. You are always asked before a pug is assigned to you and we welcome a visit with the pug. Sometimes it is not a good time for you and we understand and you can always say “no”. Some people like females and some like males, some like young pugs and some the senior pugs. We honor your choice. Our fostering commitment need can last from a few weeks to a few months. We know people have things come up that may require us to make other arrangements for the pug for a short time. Usually these things, such as vacations, are known at the time the pug is assigned to you. Please contact Susan Thornberry at
